No, it is possible to start the application process at the age of 17.
However, legal age is required once the medical examination takes place before the start of the basic course.
During your application, you will receive an invitation to take an online English test. Upon successful completion, we will review your whole application and will invite positive candidates to book one of our selection days in Munich, so we can meet you in person.
Selection days are held regularly in Munich. You will find an overview of all available appointments in your Career Cockpit, once you are officially invited.

As a Cabin Crew Member (all genders) at Lufthansa City Airlines, you must be able to work throughout Europe, and therefore, it is essential that you hold an unrestricted passport. This way we can ensure that all necessary entry requirements for all our destinations can be met.
Your passport must be valid for at least one year upon your employment. Therefore, applying for a new passport early is highly recommended.
As a Cabin Crew Member (all genders), you must be able to work without restrictions within Europe. Therefore, it is essential for Lufthansa City Airlines that you hold such a "passport without restrictions." This is the only way to ensure that all necessary entry requirements for all our destinations can be met.
