Close to the time of successful participation in an applicant day. An examination date will be arranged on the applicant day. The initial examination takes place at the Lufthansa Medical Service.
The following examinations will be carried out:
These examinations include an eye test, hearing test, ECG, blood and urine test, medical history and physical examination. Further examinations may be required on an individual basis, depending on previous illnesses.
Please bring your vaccination certificate and the completed and signed consent form for alcohol and drug testing with you to your examination. If you have any significant pre-existing conditions, please bring the relevant medical reports with you.
A prerequisite for participation in a flight attendant training course and the performance of flight attendant duties is a vaccination against yellow fever. You will receive the vaccination against yellow fever as part of your initial examination by the Lufthansa Medical Service. You will not incur any costs for this.
As a rule, you will receive a flight attendant certificate with the assessment "fit" or "unfit" as well as a certificate of participation in the occupational medical check-up within 10-14 days. If additional examinations are required and/or reports are requested, there may be delays.
If you wish, we can provide you with a flight ticket (Lufthansa flights only) for your journey to and from the examination (within Europe). Please respond accordingly to the Recruiting Team's email. Please note that this ticket booking is mandatory, as the ticket cannot be rebooked or cancelled. Any accommodation costs will not be covered.
