In general, we are unable to say how long individual steps within the application process take. This always depends on the amount of vacancies available and the reaction time of the candidates. However, you will always be immediately informed per email when we have new information for you.

At the moment we only qualify Service Agent Check-In, Customer Care, Lost & Found or Transfer & Ticketing in Germany. However if you set up a Job Subscription on Be-Lufthansa.com you may also receive interesting job offers for the location abroad of your choice as soon as this region requires personnel.

Yes, since you will receive a contract you will be insured starting on the first training day.

As a Service Agent Check-In, Customer Care, Lost & Found or Transfer & Ticketing you will be representing Lufthansa and should therefore not have:
• any visible piercing
• any tongue piercing or dental jewelry
• tattoos in visible areas.
The following are regarded as visible areas: tattoos on hands, neck, head or décolleté. On arms and legs tattoos of a maximum length/width of 2 cms are acceptable on areas that may be visible when wearing short uniforms items.
 

Flight Attendants: this is not possible during initial training. You must have flown at least 9 months full-time, after this you can discuss additional qualification measures with the Human Resources department. 
Service Agent Check-In, Customer Care, Lost & Found or Transfer & Ticketing: this is possible within the framework of vocational advanced training measures. However, you cannot be exempt from your work to achieve this.

During the application process a candidate must choose a specific area. Once you have started working you can apply to a different position by applying to an internal job posting.

It is possible to change jobs, however, you must take part in an internal application process. You must also have been working at least one year in your current job.

The application process - from the sending out of the online application and in positive cases a contract offer - takes an average of three to four months. However, since the duration depends on many different factors such as the amount of candidates, their reaction time, etc. time diversions in both directions are possible.

No there are no fixed working hour rosters; the shift plans change regularly. In general, there are early, middle and late shifts, and sometimes night shifts under certain operational requirements.
